Welcome Back Members! Re-Opening June 15th NEW COVID-19 Protocols
Dear Being-Fit Members:
We have GREAT NEWS! We are set to re-open on Monday, June 15th from 5:30 AM – 8:30 PM! Here is some important info you will need to know! Please understand that we expect things to change and some of the restrictions &/or closures you will see listed are temporary, as we learn the best way to serve you after the COVID-19 shutdown and the new guidelines.
Auto-debits will resume on 6/28/2020, which pays for the month of July. If you plan to start using the gym before 7/1/2020, you`ll pay a pro-rate at the front desk for the rest of June on your first visit back. You will be able to pay by card or cash. We did not charge anyone`s accounts during the shutdown.
If you need to make ANY changes to your account for billing purposes, you must REPLY to this email no later than 6/25/2020. WE have many options available to you right now, including a temporary four month freezing option for $10. Text 858-549-3456 or email us at [email protected] with any questions regarding billing by 6/25/2020.
Please also contact us if you have a new bank or debit card, as we`ll need to update your billing source, too. This will prevent interruptions and extra fees on your account. You can also use the online system to update your banking info by clicking HERE.
We would like to gently remind everyone that disputing charges or putting stop payments at the bank are not a valid form of cancellation, and any charges we incur from these methods, without being contacted first to try and remedy the situation, will incur extra fees to your account.
If you had a pre-paid membership, 3 months will be added to your current expiration date to make up for the months the gym was closed. If you have a pre-paid membership and aren`t ready to return, these memberships can also be frozen. Please contact us for more info.
Some of you put your account on a temporary freeze back in March before we shut down. Please know that we extended these freezes for 3 additional months for no charge. However, if you`re ready to return earlier than the end of the freezing period, we can do that for you on your first visit back. There`s no penalty to return to the gym early!
What We`ll Be Doing to Increase Safety
All staff will wear a mask when sanitzing and working in the retail areas of the gym where cutomer contact is closer than 6 ft distance.
Frequent wipe downs of equipment and the bathrooms will be done from open until close, as well as deep cleanings after hours by our professional cleaning company.
HVAC system has been serviced and cleaned.
New Temporary Hours
Mon-Friday = 5:30 AM – 8:30 PM
Sat-Sun = 8:00 – 4:00 PM
Please understand that these are temporary and subject to change over time based on usage and feedback.
We are going to try to avoid setting appointments at this time. We feel like it might not be necessary, but we`ll see how the first few weeks go. However, we would like to let you know that 8-11 AM and 4-7 PM are usually our busiest times, and you may have to wait to enter the building if it`s at capacity to allow for social distancing. It is okay to call us before you plan on coming to the gym, to see if it`s at capacity.
Requirements From Members
MASKS/FACIAL COVERINGS must be worn in and out of the gym and while doing any business at the front desk, but can be pulled down or taken off while exercising. If you forget your mask or facial covering, you`ll be able to purchase one at the front desk for $2.
It is mandatory to bring your own mat to the gym if you want to do any floor work of any kind. We STRONGLY recommend you bring your own towel, too.
We will have paper towels and disinfectant placed around the gym to wipe down your equipment, and hand sanitizer will be available throughout, too. You may bring your own sanitizer, gloves, or wipes with you to use, if you feel more comfortable with that.
Social Distancing will be practiced in the gym. There will be no lines or loitering in common areas of the gym anywhere. The bathrooms and lockers will have a 3 person capacity at any given time, with 1 waiting spot available in the foyers. Entry and exit points will be clearly marked and guidance given by front desk staff.
Showers and the water fountain are temporarily closed. Please bring your own water or we will have some for purchase at the front desk.
Please bring a lock if you want to store anything in a locker. The cubbies in front of the locker rooms is no longer available.
Members are encouraged to do the CDC self-checker at home. If you are exhibiting any of the COVID-19 symptoms or think you may`ve bene exposed, please stay home. If a member appears to have any symptoms or doesn`t look well, they may be asked to leave the facility and seek medical attention for the protection of other members and staff.
Assumptions of Risk/Social Responsibility
By coming in for a workout at Being-Fit Fitness Centers, you accept, assume, and realize that there is currently no cure or current vaccine for COVID-19, and gyms are considered a place where higher risk of transmission is possible. The virus has a long incubation period before symptoms present themselves to most people and there are people who are carriers of the virus and can transmit the virus without any of the symptoms being present. You agree to practice social distancing as much as possible, wear a facial covering (as outlined above), protect yourself by frequent hand washing/sanitation, wipe down equipment before and after use, take direction from staff as it pertains to your safety and others, and will STAY HOME if you are experiencing any of the symptoms set forth by the CDC. If you have underlying health conditions that effect your immunity or are considered to be in the high-risk population group, it’s advised that you stay home.
NEW Group Ex Protocols
Classes will come back in phases and won’t start until later in June or the first of July.
Please bring your own mat and there will be class size limits to ensure social distancing.
There are maximum capacities placed on classes to ensure social distancing.
Spots will be given on a first come-first serve basis and a line will be formed only 15 minutes previous to a class’s start time outside in front of the building.
Please like and follow our FB page and website to see the schedule when we have it ready to post.
Due to the certain circumstances, we are temporarily unable to offer free guest passes for friends and family. If you have someone you`d like to bring with you to the gym, they will need to pay a $15 day fee. If they want to join, this day fee can be applied to their joining fees. See the front desk to learn more details about our updated guest policy.
