These classes are a hybrid between having your own Personal Trainer and going to a group fitness class; meaning you’re able to work in a small group and still receive personal attention and an individualized workout based on your age, fitness level, and/or receive modifications for any minor injuries that may be present.
Each class uses various tools – such as TRX Suspension Trainers, kettlebells, dumbbells, resistance bands, battling ropes, agility ladders, free weights, and body weight exercises – and is designed to increase your functional strength, reduce injuries, improve your form and technique, and boost your metabolism. Each person in the group is able to do these exercises together at their own speed and ability.
We offer three types of group training classes at our Mira Mesa, San Diego location, FUNdamentals, Strength Building, and High Intensity Conditioning (HIC), to assure that you receive the highest quality workout for YOUR specific training needs. These classes are offered throughout the week at various times.
If you’re new to Group Personal Training, this is the class for you!
It’s important to establish proper movement and a base level of conditioning before you start to increase the intensity of your workouts. With a challenging, full-body workout program, our FUNdamentals class allows participants to make progress at their own pace, avoid injury, and build your physical stamina – all while having fun!

The ultimate fat loss workout!
Our HIC class falls in the middle between strength training with weights and cardio or aerobics. Using a variety of strength, cardio, and core movements, this class will help you challenge your aerobic and anaerobic threshold every time. This results in more calories burned, faster results, and more efficient metabolism.
Schedule: Mondays 5:30 PM, Wednesdays 5:30 PM, Saturdays 8:00 AM
Want to get stronger and build up your core muscles? This class is for you!
Working with heavier loads and fewer reps means more strength and power without bulk. In this class, you’ll build strength and power, add definition, increase bone density, and decrease body fat by increasing lean muscle.
Schedule: Tuesdays 6:30 PM, Wednesdays 10 AM, Thursdays 4:30 PM, Saturdays 10:00 AM
You can attend as many sessions as you like; however, we only recommend 3–4 times per week. Group Training is the perfect environment to meet other members in the gym, and all sessions are conducted in a circuit format using various timed intervals or rep counts. Class size ranges from 5–15 people at Being Fit Fitness Centers in Mira Mesa.
